I am currently a postdoctoral researcher in Prof Gary FROYLAND‘s group at UNSW Sydney, after working in Prof Erik BOLLT‘s group at the Clarkson Center for Complex Systems Science. Before that, I obtained my PhD in Applied and Computational Mathematics from the University of São Paulo under the supervision of Profs Tiago PEREIRA and Jeroen LAMB, MSc in Pure Mathematics from Imperial College London, and BA in Mathematics and Hispanic Studies from Vassar College.
My research vision lies at the interface between network dynamics and random systems. Almost sure statements in random systems can discard unlikely pathological scenarios and thereby clarify the typical dynamical picture, leading to insights into otherwise intractable network dynamics. On the other hand, the reduced description of high-dimensional network dynamics often experiences fluctuations due to finite-size effect, which can be naturally compared to the effect of noise in low-dimensional random systems. I have been cross-pollinating the two fields to advance ergodic theory for high-dimensional and random systems.
